Batch Coding Printers
Choosing the POLYtij barcode labellers means you can use thermal cartridge inkjet printers and not the more expensive, outdated continuous inkjet printers (CIJ printers).
The latest POLYtij range of inkjet printers includes the full illumex range and gives you the capability of printing manufactured dates, expiration dates, serial numbers, lot numbers, batch numbers and use by dates, directly onto the product without drying time.
The Inkjet coding machines are perfect for printing onto porous surfaces such as:

Can I add a date coding printer to my Atwell Labeller?
Yes, Atwell Labellers can integrate date coding printers into your label applicator system. We offer thermal inkjet, thermal transfer, and continuous inkjet printers to meet your specific coding requirements. Our team can help you choose the best option based on your production needs and labelling environment.
Can dates or batch codes be printed onto labels?
Yes, using in house printers for your over printing on your labels or use a POLYtij machine to print direct onto the product.
How to store POLYtij cartridges?
Take out the ink cartridge if not in use for 3 days or more and don’t store it in low or high temperatures (has to be 5-30 degrees).
How long does the ink last with the cap off?
The cap-off time is also unrivalled with the illumex® range, with a 3 day cap off time, so you don’t need to be consistently re-capping your ink if you’re not running for a day.
Is this classed as a date and time stamping machine?
Although the official name of the type of product is a Thermal Inkjet Printer, many people do refer to them as a date and time stamping machine.
