Managing Director / Co-Owner
Having bought Atwell’s as a going concern back in 2005 my role has been to develop the companies profile, customer base and develop the team of people that Atwell’s employ, the company has grown year on year and is now the UK’s leading independent supplier of self-adhesive labelling systems combined with the ever growing customer, consumable and linerless business.
My day to day role is to ensure that everything runs smoothly within the office coupled with looking after sales for the southern half of the UK and the ever growing export market place.
An engineer by trade I work closely with the other sales staff, engineers and our customers to develop new ideas and labelling concepts, working on the basis that “nothing is impossible”.
As MD I am very proud of the team we have here at Atwell’s as we all do what we can to deliver the customers’ expectations.
As a time served mechanical engineer with machine design, build, service and sales experience totalling over 35 years in the labelling machine industry, I am extremely proud to work as part of the highly experienced and customer focused team at Atwell covering the North of England.
Having spent many years in an industry I thoroughly enjoy, I am always looking to develop new ideas and concepts to support both new and existing customers with their labelling needs, working alongside partner companies to deliver both standard and special purpose equipment for some of the most challenging requirements.
Based near Preston along the Fylde coast I am married with one daughter and enjoy cycling whilst being out and about in my local area whenever I can.
Company Secetary / Co-Owner
I joined Atwell Labellers in 1998 as a service engineer, In this role I travelled all over the country and abroad servicing, installing and attending call outs, this is where my knowledge of the expert engineering of Atwell Labellers labelling machinery began and was vital in my progression onto Engineering Manager in 2002.
My role as Engineering Manager is both challenging and rewarding, the sales team keep me on my toes with the vast variety of products coming through the door from our existing, new and potential customers. I enjoy the variety my role brings from getting my hands dirty in the workshop with the engineers, communicating with suppliers and customers, it’s still even been known for me to attend call outs when required and enjoy the face to face contact this brings. I am proud to part of the Atwell team and look forward to future projects.

UK Sales Manager
As a Time Served Electrical Engineer, I moved into the Labelling Machine industry in 1985.
In my position of Project Engineer, I gained a knowledge of various labelling application requirements, and the solutions needed to achieve these requirements.
I progressed onto the sales team in 1989, and have been involved in Labelling Machine sales ever since.
I started my sales role with Atwell Labellers in January 2015, and I am sure that my experience gained over the past 30 years will help and develop not only the company, but also our present and future customers.
Gareth spent the first part of his working life as a soldier in the British Army. Serving 16 years as a Staff Sergeant in the Royal Corps of Signals. Completing various roles and tasks including operations in Kosovo and Iraq. Specialising as a military skills instructor and man manager to 50 soldiers.
After leaving the Army Gareth moved his transferable skills into sales within the packaging industry. Sales was a natural move as it follows the basic principles of problem-solving that had been a large part of his life. Working with customers to meet their requirements, timeline and budget to solve their project requirements. After six successful years providing coding and marking equipment into the FMCG market Gareth was ready for a new challenge.
Gareth joined Atwell in May 2018 to look after the growing customer base in the South of England. Based near Bristol he has enjoyed the new demand for labelling. Working with a host of different industries to solve their label application requirements.
Gareth is married with 3 children and enjoys walking his dogs and spending time with the family.
